US Coast Guard lifts security restrictions on ships from Nigeria, praising its top-tier ISPS Code compliance.

The US Coast Guard has praised Nigeria's progress in implementing the International Ships and Ports Facility Security (ISPS) Code, leading to the removal of the Condition of Entry (CoE) on vessels departing Nigerian ports for the US. A team from the International Port Security Programme found Nigeria's compliance with the ISPS Code ranks among the best globally. The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has been commended for its significant improvements.
