Theo Kingma, former HFPA president who helped resolve a Golden Globes dispute, died at 58.

Theo Kingma, former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association from 2013 to 2015, died unexpectedly at 58. Born in Amsterdam, he started as a projectionist and moved to Hollywood in 1989. As HFPA president, he resolved a dispute with Dick Clark Productions over the Golden Globes and introduced roundtable interviews with non-entertainment subjects. Since 2017, he was CEO of Film Expo Group, organizing major film events.
