Pennsylvania is sending out the first round of checks totaling $1.7 million as part of its Money Match program, aimed at returning unclaimed property like dormant bank accounts and uncashed checks to their rightful owners. More than one in ten Pennsylvanians may be owed a piece of the $4.5 billion in unclaimed property. The state has returned over $700 million since 2021, and residents can check their status online.
