Nigerian Senate confirms Professor Melvin D. Ayogu to the Central Bank of Nigeria's Board.

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Professor Melvin D. Ayogu as a member of the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) Board of Directors. Ayogu, a professor of economics at the University of Cape Town, was nominated by President Bola Tinubu and his appointment aligns with the CBN Act of 2007. The Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions approved the nomination.
