Nigerian police intercepted 488 live AK-47 ammunition rounds hidden in palm oil jerrycans. A 32-year-old man from Katsina State was arrested at Nyanya bus terminal in Abuja. The suspect confessed to being paid to collect the illegal cargo from Nasarawa State and deliver it to Katsina. Police are working to apprehend accomplices and dismantle the smuggling network.
