A 42-year-old man was shot in the chest at a car park in North Lakes, near Brisbane, on Monday night around 9:40 pm. He was found with chest wounds at a property on Lakefield Drive and was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition. A crime scene has been established, and police are investigating, stating there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
