Malaysia's Attorney General appeals against a lenient fine for a man possessing exploitative material of his stepdaughter.
The Attorney General's Chambers in Malaysia has appealed against a court's decision to fine a 56-year-old man RM6,000 for possessing sexually exploitative material involving his 15-year-old stepdaughter. The man pleaded guilty to possessing 18 nude video recordings and several nude photos of the victim under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. The AGC argues the fine is too lenient for the severity of the crime.
