Long-time U.S. residents Gladys and Nelson Gonzalez, parents of U.S. citizens, are deported to Colombia.

A couple, Gladys and Nelson Gonzalez, who lived in the US for 35 years and raised three US citizen children, have been deported to Colombia. They initially came to the US in 1989 without visas and were granted permission to apply for asylum. Despite their efforts to gain citizenship and their lack of criminal history, they were arrested and deported after a routine immigration check-in. Their daughters, born in the US, are now campaigning to help bring their parents back.
