Linda Cardellini and Tom Everett Scott join cast of horror and comedy prequels; Lizzo to star in biopic.

Actress Linda Cardellini will play Pamela Voorhees, Jason Voorhees' mother, in the "Friday the 13th" prequel series "Crystal Lake" on Peacock. Tom Everett Scott will star as Elle Woods' father in the Legally Blonde prequel series "Elle" on Prime Video, produced by Reese Witherspoon. Additionally, Lizzo will portray Sister Rosetta Tharpe, a pioneering gospel singer, in an upcoming biopic.
