Landlord in Ghana granted bail after being accused of stealing over GH¢7,000 worth of electricity.

A landlord in Accra, Ghana, named Eric Afriyie, has been granted GH¢20,000 bail by a local court for allegedly stealing GH¢7,067.87 worth of electricity from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). Afriyie denies the charges, which include theft and unauthorized bypassing of the ECG meter. He is scheduled to return to court on April 11, 2025.
