Jim Karch, interim Director of Engineering for Bloomington, is now permanently appointed to the role.

Jim Karch has been permanently appointed as the Director of Engineering for Bloomington, a position he has held on an interim basis since February. With over 20 years of experience with the city, Karch played key roles in the Sewer Capital Master Plan and stormwater management. He will focus on improving transparency, efficiency, and community engagement in infrastructure projects. Karch replaces Kevin Kothe, who retired after 37 years.
