Jacksonville police now enforce traffic laws on the Naval Air Station Jacksonville base to enhance safety.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has initiated traffic enforcement on the Naval Air Station Jacksonville base, working alongside the base's security department. This move aims to enhance safety and manage traffic flow on the base, with JSO officers having state jurisdiction for traffic stops and fines. The NAS Jacksonville Base Security will continue to provide additional traffic enforcement support.
