Indianola Fire Department and mutual aid crews extinguished a structure fire at an unoccupied home on March 24.

Indianola Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1:32 a.m. on March 24 at an unoccupied home on Kennedy Street. Mutual aid from nearby departments helped contain and extinguish the fully involved fire with no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire officials thanked the assisting agencies and urged residents to check smoke alarms and practice fire safety.
