Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta to resign as Landry's CEO if confirmed as U.S. Ambassador to Italy.

Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta plans to resign as CEO of Landry's, Inc., which runs about 600 restaurants and entertainment venues, if he is confirmed as the U.S. Ambassador to Italy and San Marino. In a letter to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, Fertitta also stated he will step down from his roles on the University of Houston System Board of Regents and other business ventures but will retain his ownership of the Houston Rockets.
