A house fire in Seneca, South Carolina on February 28, 2025, claimed the life of 34-year-old Brent O. Freeman, who died from smoke inhalation. The fire occurred at a mobile home on Wells Highway and was reported around 7 a.m. An investigation by local law enforcement and the Oconee County Sheriff's Office is ongoing to determine the fire's cause. One other occupant escaped and was airlifted to a burn center.
