Former Scottish leader Douglas Ross will quit Scottish Parliament to run for a Westminster seat in 2026.

Former Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross will not seek re-election to the Scottish Parliament in 2026, instead focusing on running for a seat in Westminster. Ross, who previously pledged to step down as an MSP if re-elected to Westminster, will continue his current roles and support his successor, Russell Findlay. He also aims to pass the Right to Addiction Recovery Bill before leaving Holyrood.
