Fire at Ventura Inn leaves one dead, displaces residents; cause under investigation.

A fire at the Ventura Inn in Ventura, California, on Sunday morning resulted in one fatality and displaced several residents. The fire was contained to the room of origin by firefighters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. About 90 small apartments above The Calico Cat Bookshop were affected, with some residents being temporarily sheltered by the Red Cross.
