The Delhi High Court has reserved its decision on a jailed MP's request to attend the ongoing Parliament session. Engineer Rashid Sheikh, an MP from Baramulla and a detainee due to terror-funding charges, filed the petition. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) opposed his plea, arguing that his status as an MP shouldn't exempt him from prison conditions. The court discussed imposing conditions, such as a police officer accompanying him. Sheikh's bail plea and request for custody parole were previously rejected.
