Davenport man sentenced to 15 years for possessing a firearm, barred due to prior drug felonies.

Davenport man Dontae Lamonte Burrage, 36, sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Burrage had six prior state felony drug convictions, barring him from owning guns under federal law. He will serve an additional five years of supervised release after prison. The case was part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods program to reduce violent crime.
