Alise Svihla, Coastal Carolina University's Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Engagement, passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. Svihla, who joined the university in 2022, was remembered for her positive attitude and dedication to student athletes. The university renamed the Student-Athlete Development and Engagement Department in her honor shortly before her death.
