Yoko, a 38-year-old chimpanzee raised by a drug lord and known for his human-like behaviors, has been relocated from Colombia to a sanctuary in Brazil. After spending the last two years alone in a Colombian zoo following the death of his companion, Chita, Yoko is now among other chimpanzees in the largest great ape sanctuary in Latin America. His transfer marks Colombia as the first country to rid itself of captive great apes.
