Anglo Asian Mining begins extracting copper and gold from its new Gilar deposit in Azerbaijan.

Anglo Asian Mining has started mining ore from its new Gilar deposit in Azerbaijan, part of the Gedabek site. The ore contains an average of 0.65% copper and 1.36 grams of gold per tonne, with some areas reaching up to 1.63% copper and 3.27 grams of gold per tonne. The company plans to increase production to 50,000 to 60,000 tonnes of ore monthly. CEO Reza Vaziri notes that Gilar will be key in the company's transition to focus more on copper production.
