AfDB to finance Ethiopia’s $7.8 billion Abusera International Airport to boost aviation and economic growth.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) will finance Ethiopia's new $7.8 billion Abusera International Airport, located 40 km from Addis Ababa. The project aims to boost passenger and cargo services, enhancing Ethiopia’s role as an aviation hub and stimulating regional economic growth. The AfDB's President, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, highlighted the bank's commitment to supporting this initiative to improve Africa's aviation leadership and economic integration.
