Wegovy, a weight loss drug similar to diabetes medication Ozempic, is now available in Irish pharmacies. Made by Novo Nordisk, it uses weekly injections to suppress appetite and promote fullness. Approved for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 with weight-related health issues, it's currently only accessible to those who can afford it. The drug is being reviewed for inclusion in healthcare schemes.
