India raises investment and turnover limits for MSMEs, benefiting small businesses.
The Indian government has increased investment and turnover limits for classifying Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), effective April 1.
Micro-enterprises now have an investment limit of ₹2.5 crore and a turnover limit of ₹10 crore.
Small enterprises have an investment limit of ₹25 crore and a turnover limit of ₹100 crore.
Medium enterprises can invest up to ₹125 crore with a turnover limit of ₹500 crore.
These changes were announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
