Zimbabwe is working with seven potential sponsors to secure about $7.5 billion to clear its external arrears. This effort is part of the country's debt resolution strategy, which includes completing an International Monetary Fund (IMF) Staff-Monitored Programme by the end of March. Once completed, Zimbabwe will proceed with clearing the arrears through sponsor-backed financing, such as bilateral loans, to meet its international debt obligations.
