CCMA introduces Francophone category, honoring French-speaking Canadian country artists.
The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) has added a new award category for Francophone artists, recognizing French-speaking country musicians in Canada.
To be eligible, at least 70% of an act's music must be in French, and at least half of group members must be Canadian.
The award will be given out at the CCMA Awards in Kelowna, B.C., on September 13.
