Mother arrested for first-degree murder after infant dies from severe abuse injuries in Louisiana.

A 24-year-old mother, Autumn Hano Harper, was arrested in Louisiana for the first-degree murder of her 8-month-old child, Sterling Rogers, who died from severe injuries, including multiple broken bones. The infant initially received treatment at Riverside Medical Center before being transferred to Children's Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on March 17. Harper admitted to prolonged abuse of the child, and mental health issues are expected to play a significant role in the case. She is currently without bond at the Washington Parish Jail.
