Jack Fitzgerald, the founder of Ireland's Golden Discs record store chain, has passed away at 94.
Fitzgerald co-founded Trans-Atlantic Record Agency (TARA) in 1962, which rebranded as Golden Discs in 1966, playing a pivotal role in Ireland's music industry.
He also established Tara Records, a traditional music label.
Fitzgerald's legacy continues through his son Stephen, who runs the family business.
Golden Discs now operates 20 stores nationwide.
