Malaysian court overturns $21.2M fine against Grab, citing improper procedures by regulators.
The Malaysian Court of Appeal has overturned a RM86.77 million fine against ride-hailing company Grab and its subsidiaries, imposed by the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) in 2019.
The court ruled that MyCC's investigations lacked proper procedures and did not provide an internal appeal process, justifying a judicial review.
The court also ordered MyCC to pay Grab RM50,000 in costs.
