Maine AG files complaint against man for allegedly sending racist threats to Congolese worker.
Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey has filed a civil rights complaint against Kittery resident Alexander Treshinsky for allegedly sending racist and threatening messages to a Congolese immigrant worker who requested payment for flooring work.
Treshinsky is accused of making xenophobic threats, including ones targeting the worker's family.
The complaint seeks a court order to prevent Treshinsky from contacting the victim and his family, and to comply with the Maine Civil Rights Act.
Violating the act can result in up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
