Former RUC officer, 91, gets 5-year restraining order after abusing teenage boy in '80s.
A 91-year-old former Royal Ulster Constabulary officer, Albert Burns, has been issued a five-year restraining order after being convicted of sexually abusing a teenage boy in the late 1980s.
Burns was excused from attending the trial due to his dementia.
The restraining order prevents him from contacting or approaching the victim.
The abuse, which occurred when the victim was between 13 and 15 years old, was reported in 2019, decades after the incidents took place.
