Australian mother jailed for two months after her inattentive driving led to her daughters' death.
Rachel Van Oyen, a 32-year-old mother from Australia, was jailed for two months after her momentary lapse in attention while driving led to a crash that killed her twin daughters, Macey and Riley, aged seven.
Van Oyen's car veered off the road and struck a tree near Perth.
She was also placed under a six-month suspended sentence and banned from driving for six months.
The court determined the crash was a result of careless driving.
