Pompidou Center showcases "Black Paris," an exhibition of over 300 works by Black artists of African descent.
The Pompidou Center in Paris is hosting an unprecedented exhibition, "Black Paris," which highlights the works of about 150 Black artists of African descent who influenced the city from the 1950s to 2000.
Running from March 19 to June 30, the exhibition features over 300 paintings and sculptures by artists from various backgrounds, emphasizing the shared experiences of slavery and racism.
The show, one of the last before the museum's five-year renovation, includes works by artists who sought freedom in Paris after World War II.
The Pompidou Center has also acquired around 40 of the artworks for its collection.
