The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will start repaving Interstate 94 (I-94) between Watervliet and Coloma on March 17, with work expected to last two years.
The project includes repairing the Hennessey Road bridge, the Friday Road interchange, and both sides of the highway, along with drainage repairs, guardrail upgrades, and new pavement markings.
This year, the westbound side will be worked on, keeping two lanes open.
The project aims to improve safety and efficiency for the 80,000 daily vehicles using this route.
