A breast cancer study in memory of Sarah Harding identifies 88 young women at risk of developing the disease.
A breast cancer study named BCAN-RAY, set up in memory of Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding who died of breast cancer in 2021, has identified 88 young women at risk of developing the disease.
Funded by The Christie Charity, Cancer Research UK, and The Shine Bright Foundation, the study is one of the first to assess breast cancer risks in younger women without a family history of the disease.
It uses questionnaires, genetic testing, and low-dose mammograms to identify risk factors and provide early intervention.
