Shreveport man found guilty of killing Xavier Griffin in 2021, faces up to 159 years in prison.
A 25-year-old Shreveport man, SirElderick Hays, has been found guilty of manslaughter, armed robbery, and being a felon in possession of a firearm for the 2021 killing of Xavier Griffin.
Hays, who has a prior felony, took Griffin's rifle and shot him in the neck with a handgun.
He faces up to 159 years in prison.
The conviction came after a jury deliberated for an hour, and Griffin's murder was identified through surveillance footage and a Crime Stoppers tip.
