Grammy-winning rapper Jay Rock, aka Johnny Reed McKinzie, was arrested by the LAPD on March 14 in Watts, Los Angeles. He was initially pulled over for trespassing and allegedly tried to flee after being stopped. A firearm was found in his car, leading to his arrest on suspicion of felony weapons violation. This is his first major legal trouble in over a decade. No comments have been made by Jay Rock or his label yet.
