USC's former All-American Mike Battle, who also played for the New York Jets, has died at 78.

Mike Battle, a former USC All-American defensive back and part of their 1967 national championship team, has died at age 78. Battle also played for the New York Jets in the late 1960s and was known for his role in the 1970 film "C.C. and Company." He is survived by his wife, Laura, and eight children.
