India imposes anti-dumping duties on water treatment chemical imports from China and Japan.
India has imposed an anti-dumping duty of up to $986 per tonne on Trichloro isocyanuric acid, a water treatment chemical, imported from China and Japan.
The duty, recommended by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), is meant to protect the domestic industry from cheap imports and lasts for five years.
This move aims to ensure fair trade and a level playing field for local producers.
