Trina Murray, a Westmeath native and former LGFA Vice-President, has been appointed as the new President of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, succeeding Mícheál Naughton. Murray, who has been involved in Gaelic games for over two decades, aims to boost attendance at LGFA matches and finals. She becomes the fifth female to hold the position since the LGFA's founding in 1974.
