Jammu and Kashmir's CM presents long-awaited budget, focusing on jobs, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, presented the region's first budget in six years, aimed at fostering economic growth and reflecting the people's aspirations.
Key initiatives include an agriculture allocation of ₹815 crore to generate 288,000 jobs, ₹390.20 crore for tourism, and health insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh for all citizens.
The budget also plans to establish two AIIMS institutions, ten nursing colleges, and 500 Panchayat Ghars to improve local infrastructure.
Additionally, it promises free electricity for Antyodaya families and free access to public transport for women.
