An Indian airport officer in Singapore faces up to seven years for keeping lost AirPods.
Sundar Aravinth, a 29-year-old Indian national working as an airport auxiliary police officer in Singapore, was charged with criminal breach of trust for keeping a lost pair of AirPods.
Discovered after the police were alerted to a suspected theft, Aravinth had replaced the AirPods with his own unbranded earbuds.
His case will be heard again on April 17, with a potential penalty of up to seven years in jail, a fine, or both.
Aravinth, who pleaded guilty, requested to be deported to India before his visa expires on March 31.
