ZEISS unveils Lightfield 4D tech, capturing 3D images of living organisms at 80 volumes per second.
ZEISS has launched Lightfield 4D, a new microscopy technology that captures 3D images of living organisms at an unprecedented speed of up to 80 volume Z-stacks per second.
This technology, integrated into the ZEISS LSM 910 and LSM 990 systems, allows researchers to observe rapid biological processes with high temporal resolution, reducing light exposure and enabling long-term studies.
It uses a micro lens array to generate 37 images simultaneously, enhancing productivity in fields like neurosciences and cancer research.
