Painter arrested in Ghana for theft of valuable copper cables from Bank of Ghana building.
A painter named Ahmed Mohammed Lawal, working on the Bank of Ghana building in Accra, was arrested for stealing copper cables valued at over GH¢1 million.
He was caught on CCTV and has pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawful entry and stealing.
Lawal sold some of the cables for GH¢2,000, but his two accomplices remain at large.
The case is adjourned until March 19, 2025.
