Birmingham invests in fixing damp and mould in social homes before new "Awaab's Law" takes effect.
A £15 million project in the West Midlands is fixing damp and mould issues in over 4,400 social homes, ahead of Awaab's Law, which will require landlords to address such problems quickly.
The law is named after Awaab Ishak, a toddler who died from mould exposure in 2020.
Birmingham City Council is also investing £1.6 billion to improve its council homes and launched a £167 million fund to upgrade 10,000 low-income households.
