UK company acquires Australia's largest sheep station, Rawlinna, to expand wool production.
Australia's largest sheep station, Rawlinna, covering over a million hectares in Western Australia, has been sold to the UK-owned Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC).
The station, previously owned by Jumbuck Pastoral and home to 69,000 sheep, will help CPC expand its agricultural portfolio.
The deal, subject to approval from the Foreign Investment Review Board and the Western Australia government, aims to boost sheep and wool production.
Jumbuck Pastoral, founded in the 1960s, will continue its operations in other stations across Australia.
