AG Communications fined £1.4M for failing to protect vulnerable gamblers and breaching money laundering rules.
AG Communications, a subsidiary of Aspire Global, has been fined £1.4 million by the UK Gambling Commission for failing to protect vulnerable customers and not meeting anti-money laundering standards.
The company, which operates 58 gambling websites, lacked effective controls to prevent large, rapid losses, such as one instance where a customer lost £6,000 in 48 hours.
This is the second regulatory action against the firm in recent years; it previously paid £237,600 in 2022 for similar issues.
The fine will be donated to socially responsible causes.
