Indian minister visits Washington to discuss boosting trade to $500B by 2030 amid tariff threats.

India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Washington to discuss a bilateral trade agreement with the US, aiming to more than double their trade to $500 billion by 2030. The talks come amid threats of higher US tariffs on Indian goods. Goyal will meet US officials to negotiate the first part of the agreement, expected to be completed by fall 2025, to boost trade and investments.
