Indian health minister launches campaign for affordable medicine outlets, aiming for 20,000 by 2025.

The Union Health Minister, JP Nadda, launched a week-long campaign in New Delhi to promote Jan Aushadhi, a government program offering affordable generic medicines. The initiative aims to open 20,000 outlets by 2025 and 25,000 by 2027, currently boasting 15,000 centers. These centers provide over 2,000 drugs at prices 50% to 80% lower than branded drugs, along with sanitary pads for Rs 1 to promote menstrual hygiene.
